It has a silvery grey color and will look like your aluminum cases. The stuff is pretty much the standard of the industry.
1,978 Posts. #5 · Sep 11, 2012. Sounds like a cracked case at the base of the rear cylinder stud. Initial symptom was a blown head gasket on the same cylinder. Crack can only be seen with the cylinders off. Had the same thing happen to the front cylinder on my 93.

316. If you didn't check the oil before the initial start up, it probably happened due to the float needle/seat leaking.
